We were in the studio with Lt. Warren Gosnell with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office to conduct our twice-yearly "Alcohol Lab." Our participants were Dylan Nicholls, News Director at The River 95.3 and Chris Cooper, our Saturday "news guy." Each of them consumed controlled amounts of alcohol (beer) within certain time contraints with BAC tests given at timed intervals in between. Lt. Gosnell chatted with them about the effects, their drinking patterns and compared their body makeups (height, weight, etc.) and discussed the impact all of these factors have on how the alcohol affected their bodies and the BAC readings. We also talked about a few myths that people may believe regarding ways to "sober up" or to avoid DUI situations.
