We were in the studio for Tourism Tuesday - Winchester/Frederick County edition - with Justin Kerns from Winchester/Frederick County Convention & Visitors Bureau and his guest, Kathy Nerangis, Board Member Emeritus of First Night Winchester. Kathy gave us some history of the event that included how and why the first, First Night Winchester happened 32 years ago. We also talked about the performers, schedule and locations of the various events taking place on New Year's Eve. You can download the schedule of performances here: 2019-Event-Schedule. You can download the map of events here: 2019-Map After the show, Kathy stayed a bit longer to talk about one of the new additions to this year's event: the Hope Campaign. More than 100 canvasses have been distributed throughout Winchester where individuals can write down a message of hope. On December 31, 2018, completed canvasses will be collected in order to create a Hope Resolution Tree.
